None is really need, as this was clearly designed to be a "how to " type book. One just carefully looks at the instr- uctional photos of 48 actual color paintings to get the idea of how to do it. Examples show traditional Japanese subjects like flowers, weeping willows, bamboo, fish, folk-art,land- capes, toys, fish, bird &c. The adjacent Haiku are beautif- ully created with lovely visuals.
